The Christian Church, Families for Jesus Christ first began in 2013 in Kearney, NE congregating in the homes of members of the church. Later on a small commercial building was rented and as the congregation grew it was extended into the adjoining space. In the year of 2018 a lot with a steel building and garage was purchased with a vision to expand and build in the near future. Families for Jesus Christ continues to work hard fundraising for the construction plans of the church.
